Face ID is Apple technology that has become the security standard on iPhones and iPads, using a set of facial recognition components housed in the screen notch. It is used to perform simple and recurring tasks such as unlocking the screen.

Problems with Face ID and facial recognition systems on Android devices are mostly caused by drops, impacts—especially in the earpiece area—or liquid damage (including humidity), and they manifest in various ways.

Although the solution may seem obvious, the truth is that many users who are not familiar with Apple devices end up skipping some steps in the iPhone or iPad initialization process, specifically the Face ID setup. Ensure in Settings that you have initiated the process of registering your face in the facial recognition system.
